So WHEN is Mardi Gras?  Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is the day prior to Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, celebrated by the Catholic Church and some Protestant Churches before Easter.

So WHERE is Mardi Gras celebrated?  It’s celebrated in many different countries and territories around the world.

So WHY is Mardi Gras celebrated on different dates?  According to the Bible, Jesus Christ's death and resurrection occurred around the time of the Jewish Passover, which was celebrated on the first full moon following the vernal equinox. This soon led to Christians celebrating Easter on different dates.
